Below we’re highlighting some common information for our guests to peruse before their trip. Learn more below, contact us with any questions you may have, or book a trip now.

The Bahamian Government has lifted all COVID restrictions as of September 2022. Please refer to the following website for complete details: HTTPS://WWW.BAHAMAS.COM/TOURISM-REOPENING

1. We are located at dock 7 in Boat Harbour Marina at the Abaco Beach Resort, about 15-20 minutes from the Marsh Harbour Airport. As you enter the resort you will pass the guard gate, turn left before the resort office and follow the Cruise Abaco signs to our base.

2. For guests on our Day Trips: We will meet you all at the Abaco Beach Resort (Boat Harbour Marina) at dock 7 at 9:30am with return to the same location at 4pm. Pick ups are also available at Elbow Cay or Man-O-War Cay, please advise if you wish these alternative pick-up locations upon booking your Day Trip. We provide a cooler and snorkel gear for your trip, please be sure to bring your own beach towels.

3. Once you have your flight information please enter it on your guest portal so we will know what time to expect you at the airport. We arrange taxi service for guests flying in on their charter arrival day – please note taxi service is not included in your charter rate. We will check you in and stow your gear and then you can obtain your provisions; Maxwell’s is the grocery store and Jimmy’s Liquor for liquor.

4. Upon exiting the airport please look for the taxi holding a “Cruise Abaco” sign. Rates from the airport to the Abaco Beach Resort will run $20 for 2 people, $3 per additional person, plus tip. Taxi service from our base to Maxwell’s will run approximately $10 each way plus tip. Taxi wait time is currently $20 per half hour; we will review all options for obtaining your provisions 30 days prior to sailing.

5. Please note check-in on your arrival day is no earlier than 3pm and check-out on your departure day begins at 8am for a 10am departure from the boat. Should your flight arrive early in the day we will gladly hold your gear at our base until you are able to board at 3pm – so you can relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the resort.

6. We recommend bringing soft-sided luggage for your charter as we have no storage facilities at our base, and hard-sided luggage will only take up valuable space aboard the boat. In case of misplaced or delayed luggage we recommend having on your person any important medications, sunglasses, a swimsuit and perhaps shorts, a t-shirt, flip-flops and any other personal essential items you will need during your charter.

7. These are the items you should bring with you: Sunglasses, sunscreen, flashlights, windbreakers, beach towels, phone chargers, toiletries and any other personal items needed for your time aboard with us. There is a radio and AUX jack so bring your Ipod or music device if you like, but please remember to bring your cables. Please bring your own life jackets for small children. If you are taking any ASA courses please bring everything in the ASA packet that you received in the mail.

8. U.S. currency and traveler’s checks are accepted everywhere. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted in many shops, restaurants and fuel docks but please ask first. ATMs are few and far between and banks have very limited hours. Please be sure to bring enough cash or traveler’s checks so you do not waste time chasing money.

9. A valid passport is required to enter through customs in the Bahamas. A valid passport will be required for re-entry into the United States.

10. Each boat’s galley is well equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils and dishware. Every boat has either a French press or stovetop percolator for your coffee. We supply all boats with linens, towels, dish soap, a fresh sponge, garbage bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper per head to start your trip. All of our catamarans have propane BBQ grills. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS.

11. If you want to stay connected, we suggest you sign up for international service with your phone/internet provider well in advance of your trip. Local internet provider Aliv offers service locally by the day or the week.

12. Emergency contact phone number is Jesse, our local dock master, at 305-304-5821. We stand by on VHF channel 09 (Cruise Abaco) 24/7 in case you need to reach us during your charter. Our email contact is RESERVATIONS@CRUISEABACO.COM – emails are checked several times a day and this will be your best method of communication.

13. Snorkel gear, fishing gear, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent during your charter. Please be sure to reserve these items prior to your arrival so they can be aboard your boat and ready to go when you are.
